So, what is Yogalates?

Yogalates is a brilliant fusion of the physical, mindful and spiritual postures of yoga combined with the core strengthening and alignment of pilates.

It is a holistic training method mixing yoga, pilates, meditation and dance. Yogalates meets you where you are in a functional and appropriate manner.

The flow and sequence can be adapted to any level of fitness and tailored to physical requirements, injury and emotional state. Yogalates is energising, strengthening, stretching, calming and nurturing.

Our classes have been modified to suit your comfort level and you can go at your own pace.

The practice of yogalates makes us more comfortable, more functional and more connected in our body and mind for everyday life.

Our online Yogalates classes are a fusion of Pilates and Yoga with a specific techinque focus in each class style. So you can find a class to suit your ongoing needs or your daily mood! All class styles are available across all levels; Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. No matter the time you will find a class to fit in with classes from as little as 20mins to 60mins.

These classes are dynamic. They synchronise movement and breath in a continuous flow of poses, usually progressing to weight bearing and strength sequences.They are energetic, creative and lots of fun. Flow classes enhance flexibilty, strength, stamina and agility.

Yogalates Yin

Let's Open Up

Slow-paced, calming style of yogalates. Yin yogalates targets the connective tissue (ligaments, tendons and fascia) to improve the feeling of space and freedom in your body. In order to do this we hold poses for up to 5 minutes using the support of props.

Yogalates Breath and Mindfulness

Let's Connect

Dynamic body-mind practise using conscious connected breathing techniques for inner peace, enhanced health, wellbeing and personal growth. It is a way to move stuck energy, allows us to let go of the mind, and opens the heart.

Stretch and Release

Let's Let Go

A therapeutic class to release tension, tightness, to enhance flexibility and function. These classes uses various tools such as bands, foam roller and balls. A great add on class to your daily routine.

Be Yogalates has been created by Lisa Wilson, a Physiotherapist and Yoga and Pilates Instructor with years of extensive experience. Yogalates is a fusion of Yoga and Pilates that brings together, mindfulness, balance and core strength.
Do you need yoga or pilates experience to do yogalates?
No, you don’t need experience in Yoga or Pilates to begin our Be Yogalates classes. You can choose your level and start from there. It is a simple transition from each level and class type; the choice is yours.

The sacroiliac joint( SIJ) is located in the lower The sacroiliac joint( SIJ) is located in the lower part of the back and joins the tail bone (sacrum) to one of the pelvic bones (ilium). There are two sacroiliac joints; one on either side of the spine. Due to the SIJ’s anatomical structure, its primary function is stability.
... the SIJ acts to transfer weight from the spine to the pelvis and allows a small amount of movement to occur in this area. Very often, either due to injury, lack of movement or overuse; the SIJ can get stuck OR has too much movement which causes dysfunction or pain in the area.
